Beginning with the first U.S. dissertation in 1861, Digital Dissertations indexes works from over 1,000 North American and European universities on a full range of academic subjects. Includes abstracts for doctoral dissertations beginning in 1980 and for masters theses beginning in 1988. All dissertations published since 1997, and some from prior years, are available for free download; faculty and graduate students may request others via Interlibrary Loan.
