The gateway to multiple data sets, including the most recent American Community Survey data, as well as 2000 and 1990 Census data. The Census presents detailed statistics on age, sex, race, origin, marital status, household relationships, units in structure, value and rent, number of rooms, tenure, and vacancy characteristics at various geographic levels (tract, block, county). Also included are data on ancestry, citizenship, disability, educational attainment, income, language spoken at home, occupation, poverty, and school enrollment. The State Data includes TANF Fact Sheets, teen jobless rates from 2001 and 2002, Census 2000 information, health insurance eligibility, and poverty status. The State of America's Children 2005 offers a uniform presentation of data across states on such topics as hunger, education, health, and welfare, and includes bibliographies of references for further research.
