Baker's Biographical Dictionary of Musicians  

Biographical sketches are for most notable performers, composers, and patrons of music. Includes non-European musicians. Music Reference and Research Materials: an Annotated Bibliography  

This source surveys the research literature in music. It details dictionaries, encyclopedias, histories of music, music chronologies and catalogs of musical library collections. This volume does not cover biographical sources for musicians.

To find music CDs or other recordings, limit your search results to material type "music & audio" or to location "Gelardin Center." Music CD's are kept in the Gelardin Center.

To find sheet music or scores, search by author in GEORGE. Lauinger Library is more likely to have books containing musical pieces rather than individual sheet music.

Classical Music Library

Classical Music Library is a fully searchable database of classical recordings. It includes tens of thousands of licensed recordings that users can listen to online. The audio selections are cross-referenced to a database of supplementary reference information. The database includes licensed multiple versions of some works to enable comparative listening.
