The ERIC database consists of two files: the Resources in Education (RIE) file of document citations (tied to the ERIC document collection on microfiche) and the Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE) file of journal article citations from over 750 professional journals. It also includes full text of over 850 ERIC Digest records. ERIC documents are identified by an ED number. Use the ED number to locate the document on microfiche. Lauinger Library owns only part of the ERIC microfiche collection, from the FL clearinghouse (foreign language teaching). Check GEORGE, the library catalog, by title for other ERIC documents or to determine whether the library subscribes to the journals. Items not owned by Lauinger Library may be requested via the Consortium Loan Service (use WRLC Catalog to request) or InterLibrary Loan.
